How Outsourcing Your Transcription Can Save You Time and Money

Transcription is an essential service in any company where dictation is a key method of communication.

Legal, medical, insurance and finance professionals use dictation to record notes of meetings, patient records, legal documents, records of on-site visits, and other important events.

These dictations, generally in the form of audio files, are then transcribed by professional transcriptionists using transcription software. Companies such as Sterling Transcription provide professional transcription services to clients who require their transcriptions outsourced.

Dedicated transcription companies such as Sterling Transcription provide quality assured consistently accurate transcripts to clients, in a highly efficient and timely manner.

Below we’ve listed 4 top reasons why outsourcing your transcription needs to a dedicated transcription company, such as Sterling Transcription, will improve the efficiency of your business.

Save Money, Save Time!

Top Reason #1: Save Money

Is your company a transcription company? No? Then why are you allocating staff resources to it? Instead, why not redirect your staff to growing your core business, and leave the business of transcription to a professional transcription company. By outsourcing your transcription needs you are free to reallocate resources and staff to critical growth areas in your business.

Top Reason #2: Save Time

Often internal staff have competing deadlines across multiple work areas, and when urgent transcripts are required, they need to be squeezed into an already full workload. By outsourcing your transcription requirements to a professional transcription company, urgent files can be returned more quickly to the dictator, and your staff are freed up to concentrate on other important areas in your business.

Top Reason #3: Save Your Sanity

Planning for the unexpected is a part of modern business planning. But staff still get sick, computers get viruses, vacation time arrives, and your important documents still need to be supplied to your clients and colleagues. Consider outsourcing your transcription so you don’t have these headaches, and make a positive step towards “future-proofing” your business.

Top Reason #4: Save Space

By outsourcing your transcription needs to a professional transcription company you immediately reduce or eliminate the need for specific transcription equipment software and hardware, thereby freeing up space in your office.

So if you want to save money, save time, save your sanity and save space, consider outsourcing your transcription needs to a dedicated professional transcription company.

Hi Michelle, Thank you for your comment and great to hear you have many years of medical transcription experience. We already have a number of typing contractors who are native English speakers and who are based in South Africa, so location is not an inhibitor at all.

I would strongly encourage you to apply to become a medical typing contractor with Sterling Transcription, via the Careers section on our website, as we are currently recruiting medical typists to work with Sterling Transcription. Good luck!

Hi Khalil, thank you for your query. I do strongly encourage you to submit an application via the Careers section of our website. We are currently hiring typing contractors with medical transcription experience, so now is a great time to apply.

We have many medical typing contractors who work with us and are located across the globe, and while not all are English native speakers, they are all are extremely fluent in English.

They do also have an excellent talent for discerning English spoken as a second or subsequent language by speakers from India, China, the former USSR, Egypt, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and many more. Good luck!
